PT Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk. (“the Company”) announced the Company’s financial performance for the period ended September 30, 2019.
Mitra Keluarga has continued to deliver strong results for 9M 2019 by posting revenue of Rp 2,383 Billion, reflecting a Y-o-Y growth of 17.23%. The growth is a result of solid performance from the existing hospitals as reflected by a consistent double-digit same-store-sales growth. Furthermore, newly opened hospitals in 2019 (MIKA Bintaro & MIKA Pratama Jatiasih) together with Kasih Group have contributed to the revenue growth in 3Q 2019. Kasih Group has continued to post strong revenue growth of 23.23% for the same period.
Financial Performance of 9M19
- Total Revenue Rp 2,383 billion for 9M19 compared to Rp 2,033 billion in 9M18, an increase of 17.23%.
- Total Outpatient Visits 1.98 million for 9M19 compared to 1.63 million in 9M18, an increase of 21.75%.
- Total Inpatient Admissions 157.9 thousand for 9M19 compared to 121.1 thousand in 9M18, an increase of 30.35%.
- Bed Occupancy Ratio 61.3% in 9M19 compared to 54.51% in 9M18, an increase of 6.75%. There were additional 185 operational beds arising from the opening of Mitra Keluarga Bintaro and Mitra Keluarga Pratama Jatiasih as well as additional beds from Kasih Group in late June 2019.
- EBITDA Rp 864.1 billion for 9M19 compared to Rp 728.0 billion in 9M18, an increase of 18.70%.
- EBITDA Margin 36,26% for 9M19 compared to 35.81% in 9M18, an increase of 0.5%.
- Net Profit Rp 587,3 billion for 9M19 compared to Rp 518.4 billion in 9M18, an increase of 13.29%.
- The Company is in net cash position amounting to Rp 1,816 billion as of September 30, 2019.
Hospital Expansion
Mitra Keluarga will keep continuing to add more hospitals and also expand the capacity & complexity in the future. The progress as of September 30, 2019 :
- Mitra Keluarga has started the groundbreaking for the 25th hospital located in Surabaya.
- Mitra Keluarga has started the construction for New Center of Excellence, IVF Center in MIKA Kelapa Gading and expect to be opened in 1H 2020
- Additional bed capacity in Kasih Group of total 33 beds (Sumber Kasih & Kartika Kasih) has been completed in June 2019.
- Restu Kasih has obtained the construction permit for adding a new building which will increase the capacity of 30 Beds, the construction is expected to be finished by 2Q 2020.

The Company built its first hospital back in 1989 and currently owns and operates 24 hospitals, of which sixteen are located in Greater Jakarta, four in West Java, three in Surabaya, East Java, and one in Tegal, Central Java. Typically, the hospitals are equipped with emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, operating rooms, intensive care units and a pharmacy, as well as laboratory and radiology facilities. The hospitals also offer specialized services such as obstetrics, pediatrics, internal medicine, angioplasty, orthopedic surgery and neurosurgery, amongst others.
From its humble beginnings, The Company has transformed into one of Indonesia’s biggest private hospital operators by an intake of 2,35 million patients in 2018 and in terms of hospital bed capacity with 2,840 operational beds as of September 30, 2019.
The Company employed more than 6,671 medical professionals including doctors, laboratory staff, nurses and therapists with more than 1,000 specialists practicing in all of its hospitals by 2018.
