Jakarta, September 23, 2015 PT Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat Tbk. (MIKA or the Company) today held its Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (the Meeting) and the majority of the shareholders attending the Meeting gave the approval on the Companys plan to undertake stock split.
Ir. Rustiyan Oen, MBA, the President Director of the Company announced, We believe that by undertaking stock split, it will result in the increased number of shares issued and MIKAs shares will be more affordable. Consequently, we hope that it will increase the stock liquidity”. The Company listed its shares on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) on March 24, 2015 with initial price of Rp17,000 per share. Based on the data as of August 31, 2015, MIKA share price showed a continuous growth, reaching its highest at Rp28,500 per share.
The EGM has approved a 10-for-1 stock split, which will reduce the nominal value of the shares from Rp100 per share to Rp10 per share and increase the number of shares issued and fully paid from 1,455,073,600 shares with the nominal value of Rp100 per share to 14,550,736,000 shares with the nominal value of Rp10 per share. In addition, the Company’s Board of Directors was authorized to determine the effective date of the stock split. After completing the legal and administrative procedures, we expect the stock will trade with post-stock split-adjusted basis in October 2015,added Rustiyan.
Mitra Keluarga at a Glance
Mitra Keluarga built its first hospital back in 1989 and currently owns and operates 12 hospitals, of which eight are located in Greater Jakarta, three in Surabaya in East Java, and one in Tegal in Central Java. Typically, the hospitals are equipped with an emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, operating rooms, intensive care units and a pharmacies, and provide laboratory and radiology services. The hospitals also offer specialized services such as obstetrics, pediatrics, internal medicine, angioplasty, orthopedics surgery and neurosurgery, amongst others. All the Companys hospitals are accredited by Indonesian Commission on Accreditation of Hospital (KARS).
From its humble origins, Mitra Keluarga has transformed into one of Indonesias biggest private hospital operators by treating 1.73 million patients in 2014. It is the second largest in terms of bed capacity with 1,953 beds as of December 31, 2014.
Mitra Keluarga employs more than 4,900 medical professionals including doctors, laboratory staff, nurses and therapists and more than 830 specialists practicing in the 11 hospitals at the end of 2014.
